Terms of service
FRLast updated: 19 August 2026
This page is not complete yet: the publisher identity still has to be filled in at src/lib/legal-entity.ts.
1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of SignLink, an online service published by À COMPLÉTER that sends a PDF for signature and collects an electronic signature on it. Using the service means accepting these terms.
2. The service
The sender uploads a document, places the signature, initial and handwritten-wording fields, then shares one link per party. The signer creates no account: they verify their email address with a one-time code, adopt a signature, and the signed document is made available to the parties.
The service produces a simple electronic signature together with evidence: verified identity, timestamped consent, IP address, document hash before and after signature, and an audit trail. SignLink is not a qualified trust service provider, so the service does not issue a qualified signature.
The right level of signature depends on the act concerned. Some acts require a particular form or a higher level. It is for you to check that the process suits your document; we provide no legal advice on that point.
3. Account
Sending a document may require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for what is done from your account. Report any unauthorised access without delay.
4. What you undertake not to do
- Upload a document you have no right to have signed.
- Impersonate anyone, or have someone sign without their knowledge.
- Distribute unlawful content, or infringe a third party's rights.
- Circumvent usage limits, probe or disrupt the infrastructure.
In case of breach, access may be suspended, and the account terminated where the breach is serious or repeated.
5. Plans and pricing
A free plan is available, limited to 2 documents per calendar month. The Pro plan costs 19.00 EUR per year, taxes included where applicable, and renews automatically each year until cancelled.
Payment is handled by Stripe. We keep no card data. You cancel from your profile: the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, which remains due.
6. Right of withdrawal
If you subscribe as a consumer, you have fourteen days to withdraw without giving a reason. Write to contact@signlink.app.
If you asked for the service to start immediately, you may still withdraw, but you then owe the amount corresponding to what was supplied up to your withdrawal request. Article L. 221-28 of the French Consumer Code provides that the right can no longer be exercised for contracts for the supply of services fully performed before the end of the withdrawal period, where performance began with your prior express agreement and your acknowledgement that you would lose the right.
This right does not apply to subscriptions taken for business purposes.
7. Availability
The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of uninterrupted operation. Maintenance may make it temporarily unavailable. We try to announce planned maintenance.
8. Document retention and deletion
Documents are deleted automatically 7 days after upload, or 30 days when sent from a Pro account. It is up to you to download and keep your signed copy before then. Afterwards we can no longer provide it.
9. Liability
We are liable for direct damage resulting from a breach attributable to us, up to the amounts paid over the last twelve months. We are not liable for the contents of documents, for the choice of signers, or for how a court might assess the validity of a given act. Nothing here limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct or personal injury.
10. Personal data
Data processing is described in the privacy policy. For documents and their signers' data we act as a processor under Article 28 GDPR, on behalf of the sender.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. Any substantial change will be announced on this page and, for subscribers, by email before it takes effect.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. Consumers may use the consumer mediation scheme free of charge: À COMPLÉTER. Failing agreement, the dispute falls to the competent courts.
